Rak Din products are sustainable. They consume no virgin resources. They require no trees, no food crops, no petrochemicals. They require only crop wastes that are not burned but are converted to biochar.
What’s so special about biochar?
Biochar is super charcoal. It is neither the junk you buy for your barbecue nor chunk charcoal made from massive hardwoods. It is any biomass – such as crop waste – heated without oxygen until nothing but pure carbon is left.
What’s that carbon? It is carbon removed from the air by plants via photosynthesis, which means that making biochar is carbon negative. It actually removes CO2 from the overheated atmosphere.
Making biochar does much more, too. Burning crop waste releases huge quantities of eCO2 (CO2 equivalent), smog-precursors that as smog kill millions of people a year, and clouds of smoke (haze or PM2.5) that the World Health Organization considers the fifth biggest killer in the world.

This is the Rak Din difference.
